This book contains the lessons learned of our multiple trips, successes, failures and emotional awakenings, some of which were unbelievable. If a 76 Days on Mars like book existed, we might have been a little less naive and approached this adventure with our eyes wide open, saving time and money along the way.
Like most people, I didn’t know much about Ukraine; a country seemingly stuck in the 1950s where technology takes a very back seat to survival and where the people somehow accept their hardships. Their fascination with movie stars, Coca Cola, and western fashion, strangely offsets manly crew cuts and the generally tough living conditions in all but the largest of cities.
